Bilberry (Vaccinium Myrtillus) is a shrubby perennial that grows mostly in the forests of Europe, where it is a medically respected and frequently recommended herbal remedy for a while variety of eye disorders. The active constituents include an extract called Anthocyanidin, which are flavnoids that harbor powerful anti-oxidiszng properties.
Direct Vasoactive and Vasoprotective properties of Anthocyandin-rich extracts are related to health benefits of the heart and cardiovascular system, eyes and cancer prevention.
Laboratory studies have shown that bilberry consumption can inhibit or reverse eye disorders such as macular degeneration. Dietary supplementation with bilberry extract prevents macular degeneration and cataracts.
Directions for Use:
Adult dose: 1 capsule 2 times per day, or as directed by a health care provider
